VIDEO | Why offsite construction is the future

ESG is certain to be a large focus of UKREiiF in Leeds this week. With that in mind, Mansell Building Solutions shared how rethinking the way we build could help accomplish sustainability and efficiency goals.

In conversation with Place North West editor Julia Hatmaker, Mansell managing director Angela Mansell and Forum for the Built Environment regional chair Ged Couser spoke about the ways they are seeing offsite construction used and how the property world can maximise its potential.

Along the way Mansell dispelled a few myths about this construction method, explaining how it is more than just fully assembled modular homes being delivered to a site. Instead, offsite construction can focus on pre-fabricating elements of a scheme for quick on-site assembly.

Couser, who is also a principal architect at BDP, shared how offsite construction is being used in the healthcare sector.
